Numbers are cold. Numbers can lie. They do not measure effort.
They can't quantify the little things, like a penalty killer
trimming a few precious seconds off the clock by icing the
puck.
But numbers, specifically goals and assists, are what fans care
about most, especially when a player is not producing any
numbers.
Dominic Moore's numbers are as simple as one, two, three -- one
goal, two assists and three points in the nine games since he was
traded from the Toronto Maple Leafs to the Buffalo Sabres for a
second-round draft pick.
