Wild Draft Picks Really Click

Only 51 miles separate Shattuck-St. Mary's School in Faribault
from downtown St. Paul, though it took nine years for the Wild to
mine the boarding school for its renowned hockey talent.
Scouts liked what they saw in 2008-09 so much, the team drafted
two Shattuck players during last month's NHL entry draft.
Linemates Alexander Fallstrom and Erik Haula became the Wild's
first Shattuck players when they were selected in the fourth and
seventh rounds, respectively. Both have been competing this past
week at Wild prospect camp, which wraps up today with a scrimmage
at the Xcel Energy Center.
