Pelle's Heroics Earn CHL Recognition
The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today that Rapid
City’s Jon Pelle, a former Harvard standout, has been voted
the CHL Performance of the Week for his late-game effort on January
9th in a 4-3 victory over Wichita. Pelle scored the game-winning
goal in his team’s victory with just eight seconds remaining.
Pelle has 12 goals and seven assists this season in 22 games played
for the expansion Rush.
Pelle’s effort earned 1,831 votes constituting 51% of the
3,584 votes cast. Coming in second place was Colorado’s Greg
Pankewicz who recorded his fourth hat trick of the season on
January 10th in a 6-5 win over Rocky Mountain. Pankewicz earned 42%
of the votes (1,508).
