Leblanc to Vie for Canada Junior Team Roster Spot

CALGARY, Alta. – Harvard incoming freshman Louis Leblanc, a first-round selection (Non. 18) of the Montreal Canadiens in the 2009 National Hockey League (NHL) Entry Draft June 26, is among 45 players named to the final roster for Canada's National Junionr Team development camp August 5-10 in Saskatoon, Sask.

Hockey Canada, in partnership with the Canadian Hockey League, announced the final roster, which includes four goaltenders named June 15 and 41 defencemen and forwards announced May 29.

The players, born in 1990 or 1991, were selected by Hockey Canada head scout Al Murray, in consultation with head coach Willie Desjardins (Medicine Hat, WHL), associate coach Dave Cameron (Mississauga St. Michael’s, OHL) and assistant coaches Steve Spott (Kitchener, OHL) and André Tourigny (Rouyn-Noranda, QMJHL), along with goaltending consultant Frédéric Chabot.
