championship at Saturday night’s game. The team is reuniting
for the game and will be honored on the ice during the first

This season is the 20th anniversary of the Crimson’s NCAA
title run. Led by Hobey Baker winner Lane MacDonald ’88-89,
the Crimson won its first 15 games, finished 31-3 and captured the
ECAC regular-season and Beanpot championships along the way. Ed
Krayer ’89 scored the overtime winner to lift Harvard to a
4-3 win against Minnesota in the tournament final, and Ted Donato
was named Most Outstanding Player. The lineup featured four
Olympians (two former, two future), three players who would earn
All-America honors in their careers, three who would go on to play
in the NHL and two future Division I head coaches.
