Feature: Donato Continues to Grow as Harvard Coach

The following article featuring current Harvard head coach and former Crimson standout Ted Donato appeared in the January 2 issue of the New York Daily News.

Every now and then, Harvard head coach Ted Donato gets a blast from the past when he looks at the officials on the ice. There on any given night, helping to call the Crimson's game, is a linesman by the name of Mark Messier.

"I do enjoy calling him 'Mess,'" said Donato, in his fifth season at Harvard after a 13-year NHL career. "I have to say, the referee is a very personable, nice guy."

Naturally, having played alongside the more famous Messier in the 2002-03 season, seeing the ECAC Hockey official of the same name brings back memories.
