Editor's Note:
The feature story below, on hockey co-captain
Mike Taylor, is part of a year-long commitment to highlight Harvard's captains and many other intriguing student-athletes.

Co-captain Mike Taylor had a successful season in which he was named to the All-Ivy League second team and was the ECAC Hockey Player of the Week for February 11. Taylor finished the season with 12 goals, a team-high 23 assists and a +8 rating. He also totaled four game-winning goals to tie for the team lead and finished his career on a 14-game point streak.

Playing hockey in Minnesota gave Taylor numerous options coming out of high school but Harvard was too good to pass up.

"I was considering the University of Minnesota, Notre Dame and Colorado College, but after making my visits, Harvard was an easy decision. Here you get a top-notch education and you get to play hockey for a team that contends for the national title each year."
