Austria New Home for Grumet-Morris

The EC Graz 99ers of the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga (Austria) announced today the commitment of former Harvard goaltender Dov Grumet-Morris. The former Crimson standout joins the 99ers from the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Grumet-Morris signed a one-year contract with a club option for an extension. In 2007-08, Grumet-Morris split time between Cincinnati of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) and Milwaukee. In 35 appearances, he posted a record of 24-7-1 with a goals-against average of 2.45 and save percentage of .913

"I'm excited (about joining EC Graz)," stated Grumet-Morris. "I am particularly interested in the home games in the ice rink Liebenau -- the great atmosphere there is widely known."

Head coach Bill Gilligan welcomed the arrival of Grumet-Morris: "Dov is very talented, works hard and has a great attitude."

A member of the Crimson from 2001 through 2005, the Evanston, Illinois native posted a record of 63-40-9 in 114 appearances. He finished his collegiate career with a goals-against average of 2.25 and a save percentage of .924. Grumet-Morris posted 11 shutouts between the pipes for Harvard.

Grumet-Morris' professional career has included stints with Laredo of the Central Hockey League (2005-06), Cincinnati of the East Coast Hockey League (2006-07 and 2007-08) and San Antonio (2005-06), Portland (2006-07), Manitoba (2006-07) and Milwaukee (2007-08) of the American Hockey League.
