Welch Glad to be Back in the Game

Coral Springs -- Considering how long he had waited to play again,
Noah Welch's cameo Saturday night was about as fulfilling as one
grape for a gorilla.
The defenseman skated just five shifts and 3 minutes, 27 seconds
against the Thrashers — the least time of any Panther in the
lineup. Still, Welch deemed his first regular-season game in almost
exactly one year "big for me personally."
He said, "It didn't go necessarily how I pictured it as far as
being able to contribute, but it's just good to get that one of the
way."
