Moore Packs Up, Moves On

CHICAGO - It was quite the 24 hours for center Dominic Moore, who wound up with a swollen nose and a ticket home Friday after being tossed aside by the Wild.
In desperate need of defensive help, the struggling Toronto Maple Leafs claimed Moore off waivers. With a handful of teammates on the ice for an optional morning skate at the United Center, the checking forward was dashing for a taxi to the airport with his equipment bag slung over his shoulders.
Destination San Jose, demotion averted.
