Cincinnati Reaches Deal with Hafner
CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The Cincinnati Cyclones announced this
afternoon they have signed former Harvard defensemen Peter Hafner
to a tryout agreement. The Cyclones are the ECHL
affiliate of both the NHL's Montreal Canadiens and Nashville
Predators.
Hafner, 24, will be making his pro debut. A 2006 graduate of
Harvard University, he played with Cyclones goaltender Dov
Grumet-Morris for three seasons there. Peter was an eighth round
choice of the Florida Panthers (number 232 overall) in the 2002 NHL
Entry Draft. He appeared in 129 games with the Crimson, collecting
five goals and 17 assists for 22 points and 84 penalty minutes in
his collegiate career.
The Cincinnati Cyclones play a pair of road games this weekend,
starting tonight at Elmira.
