Cincinnati Reaches Deal with Hafner

CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The Cincinnati Cyclones announced this afternoon they have signed former Harvard defensemen Peter Hafner to a tryout agreement. The Cyclones are the ECHL affiliate of both the NHL's Montreal Canadiens and Nashville Predators.

Hafner, 24, will be making his pro debut. A 2006 graduate of Harvard University, he played with Cyclones goaltender Dov Grumet-Morris for three seasons there. Peter was an eighth round choice of the Florida Panthers (number 232 overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. He appeared in 129 games with the Crimson, collecting five goals and 17 assists for 22 points and 84 penalty minutes in his collegiate career.

The Cincinnati Cyclones play a pair of road games this weekend, starting tonight at Elmira.
