Welch Joins Rochester for Conditioning Stint
SUNRISE, Fla. -- Florida Panthers General Manager Jacques Martin
announced today that former Harvard defenseman Noah Welch has been
assigned to the Rochester Americans (AHL) for a two-week
conditioning stint.
Welch, 26, has played in 14 games with the Panthers this season
scoring one goal with one assist and four PIM. For his career in
the National Hockey League, he has played in 47 NHL contests with
Pittsburgh (2005-07) and Florida (2006-08) registering nine points
(4-5-9) and 37 PIM.
Welch was acquired from the Pittsburgh on Feb. 27, 2007 in exchange
for LW Gary Roberts.
