Maple Leafs Sign Moore
TORONTO -- Cliff Fletcher, general manager of the Toronto Maple
Leafs, announced Thursday that the hockey club has signed former
Harvard forward Dominic Moore.
Moore, 27, signed a one-year contract with Toronto. He joined the
Maple Leafs after being acquired off waivers from the Minnesota
Wild last season. In 38 games with Toronto, Moore registered
four goals and 10 assists for 14 points, along with 14 penalty
minutes and a plus-seven rating.
"I'm very happy to be back," said Moore, who was a fanatical Leafs fan growing up and still has the autographed Doug Gilmour stick he got as a boy. "I'm looking forward to being part of this rebuilding process here."
In his NHL career, Moore has played in 224 games for the Rangers, Penguins, Wild and Maple Leafs recording 55 points (22 goals, 33 assists) with 108 penalty minutes. He was originally the New York Rangers' second choice, 95th overall in the 2000 Entry Draft.
