WORCESTER, Mass. -- The Worcester Sharks have signed Harvard defenseman David MacDonald to an amateur tryout agreement. MacDonald made his professional debut Saturday at Lowell.

MacDonald, who wears No. 4 for the Sharks, recently completed his senior year at Harvard University, where he played 115 career contests, compiling two goals and 12 assists for 14 points. He served as co-captain, with Mike Taylor, of the 2007-08 Crimson squad.

MacDonald, 6-foot-4, 235 pounds, was San Jose's pick in the seventh round of the 2004 draft. He is the fourth Crimson player on the Sharks' roster, joining Tom Walsh, Dennis Packard and Tom Cavanagh.
