Reese Signs with Rampage
SAN ANTONIO -The San Antonio Rampage announced today that the club has signed
former Harvard defenseman Dylan Reese to a one-year American Hockey
League (AHL) contract. The deal also has an option for a second
year.
The 23-year-old registered four points (all assists) and 12 penalty
minutes in 10 games with the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack last season
after completing his four-year collegiate career with Harvard.
Reese, the captain of the Crimson squad last year, was selected to
the 2006-07 All-ECAC Hockey Second Team for the second straight
year. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound blueliner was the recipient of the
John Tudor Memorial Cup as Harvard's most valuable player after
leading all Crimson defensemen for the third consecutive year after
posting 18 points (9 goals, 9 assists) in 33 games. He also led
ECAC Hockey defensemen and tied for sixth overall in the
league with eight power-play goals.
In his collegiate career, the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native
compiled 21 goals and 40 assists for 61 points in 122 games. Reese,
an economics concentrator, was selected to the New England Hockey
Writers Division-I Men's All-Star and ECAC Hockey All-Academic
teams his senior year. The seventh-round pick by the New York
Rangers in the 2003 NHL Draft had his best season as a junior
leading Harvard defensemen with 19 points (4g, 15a) in 33 games and
being tabbed to the ECAC Hockey Championship All-Tournament
Team while capturing his first All-ECAC Hockey honor.
