Foley at Work at World Juniors
LIBEREC, Czech Republic -- Harvard men's hockey assistant coach Patrick Foley and the U.S. National Junior Team began play at the 2008 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship Wednesday, defeating Kazakhstan, 5-1, at Tipsport Arena.
Foley is serving as an assistant coach with Team USA. Wednesday's game was the first of four Pool B games in six games for the Americans. Team USA takes on Switzerland Friday, Russia Saturday and Finland Monday. Medal-round play begins with the quarterfinals Jan. 2.

Before beginning tournament play, Team USA played a pair of exhibitions, defeating Western Michigan, 4-2, Dec. 18 and falling to the Czech Republic, 5-2, Dec. 22.
