Richter Named INCH Player of Week
Harvard goaltender Kyle Richter, who posted back-to-back shuouts versus Rensselaer and Union this past weekend, has been named Player of the Week by InsideCollegeHockey.com.
Richter's Statistics: 2 GP, 2 wins, 2 shutouts, 57 saves
Richter's Impact: As a freshman, he showed flashes of brilliance - most notably a 4-0 shutout of Boston College - while splitting time with senior Justin Tobe. As the Crimson's full-time starter this season, Kyle Richter's brilliance hasn't been limited to just flashes, but has been on display from the opening moments of the first game. The Calgary native has been the driving force behind Harvard's 3-1-0 record, the team's best start since in five years. Richter has allowed a total of three goals in his first four starts, including consecutive shutouts of Rensselaer and Union in Cambridge last weekend. He enters this weekend's games against Cornell and Colgate with a 0.75 goals against average and a .975 save percentage.
