Markowitz Begins Pro Career with Rio Grande Valley
The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees of the Central Hockey League (CHL) announced on Tuesday the signing former Dartmouth defenseman Danny Markowitz for the 2011-12 season.
Markowitz is another big body joining the Killer Bees. A true stay-at-home defenseman Markowitz missed last season with Dartmouth due to injury but is prepared for his first professional campaign. The blueliner rarely finds himself penalized for infractions while keeping a steady hand on the blue line.
“Training camp is a great time for rookies to prove themselves and I’m excited to bring in Danny,” said Killer Bees General Manager and Head Coach Terry Ruskowski. “(Danny) has a certain skill set I am looking for to make this season a successful one for us.”
