Stephens Earns Shot with Everblades
ESTERO, Fla. – Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Greg Poss announced today the team has agreed to terms with former Dartmouth defenseman Evan Stephens.
Stephens, 23, joined the ‘Blades last spring posting an assist in three regular season games, while adding another assist in four playoff appearances. The 6-0, 185-lb blue-liner was a productive starter at Dartmouth, totaling 81 points (19g-62a) and 198 penalty minutes during his collegiate career. Stephens led all Big Green defenseman in scoring in three of the last four seasons, while also being named third team All-ECAC during his junior year.
Prior to college, the Bessemer, Michigan native also played four seasons in the USHL splitting time between the Sioux Falls Stampede and the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders.
