Lightning Strikes for Wyman

TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled right wing JT Wyman, a former Dartmouth standout, from the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League today, Vice President and General Manager Steve Yzerman announced.

Wyman, 6-foot-2, 204 pounds, has played in 29 games with Norfolk this season, recording six goals and 12 points with just six penalty minutes. His plus-10 rating ranks fourth on the team, third among forwards. In the five games leading up to his recall, Wyman has posted two goals and three points with a plus-4 rating. He has an even of plus rating in 25 of 29 games this season.

A native of Edina, Minnesota, Wyman has played in 245 career AHL games with the Hamilton Bulldogs and the Admirals. He has amassed 47 goals and 97 points in that time. He has also appeared in 45 career Calder Cup Playoff games, notching four goals and 13 points. Wyman played for Lightning head coach Guy Boucher during the 2009-10 season with Hamilton. He has played in three career NHL games, all with the Montreal Canadiens during that same season.

The Lightning signed Wyman as a free agent on July 1, 2011.
