Boucher Nets Weekly Honor
GLENDALE, AZ - The Central Hockey League announced today that Fort Wayne's Nick Boucher, a former Dartmouth standout, has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Goaltender of the Week for the period ending December 11.
The Leduc, Alberta native won both starts last week allowing just two goals on 68 shots (.971) and in the process earned his second shutout of the season (tied for first in the league) on Saturday night in the Komets 5-0 win over the Turner Conference leading Evansville IceMen. Boucher's other win was a 35-save effort on Sunday in Fort Wayne's 4-2 win over Dayton.
The 5-11, 175-pound goalie has won seven straight starts allowing just eight total goals over that span and is currently the league leader with 12 wins, his 2.08 goals against average and his .930 save percentage.
