The Komets are coming off a 1-0 overtime loss to the Quad City Mallards on Sunday, and they’re 1-1-1 in their last three games.
Despite the lack of offense – they produced three goals in those games – the undeniable positive was the play of goaltender Nick Boucher, who stopped 61 of 63 shots in the games Saturday (a 2-1 victory at Dayton) and Sunday.
“Yeah, he had a great weekend,” coach Al Sims said. “Maybe two of his best games of the year. Definitely in Dayton, his best game of the year and (against the Mallards) he was very solid as well. Especially on things around the net, (wraparounds) and things like that.”
