Jessiman Traded to Florida
SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers General Manager Dale
Tallon announced Wednesday that the club has acquired former
Dartmouth forward Hugh Jessiman from the Chicago Blackhawks as part
of a five-player trade. In addition to Jessiman, Florida acquired
forwards Jack Skille and David Pacan in exchange for
forward Michael Frolik and goaltender Alexander
Salak.
“We are very pleased to welcome all three players to our
organization,” said Tallon. “We look forward to the
contributions that all three players will make within our
organization.”
Jessiman, 26, has played in 25 games for the Rockford IceHogs (AHL) this year scoring three goals with two assists and 27 PIM. The 6-foot-6, 215-pound winger has recorded back-to-back 20 goal seasons with the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL), while also registering more than 100 PIM three times in his professional career. The New York, N.Y. native was drafted by the New York Rangers in the first round (No. 12 overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
