Jessiman Traded to Florida

SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers General Manager Dale Tallon announced Wednesday that the club has acquired former Dartmouth forward Hugh Jessiman from the Chicago Blackhawks as part of a five-player trade. In addition to Jessiman, Florida acquired forwards Jack Skille and David Pacan in exchange for forward Michael Frolik and goaltender Alexander Salak.

“We are very pleased to welcome all three players to our organization,” said Tallon. “We look forward to the contributions that all three players will make within our organization.”

Jessiman, 26, has played in 25 games for the Rockford IceHogs (AHL) this year scoring three goals with two assists and 27 PIM. The 6-foot-6, 215-pound winger has recorded back-to-back 20 goal seasons with the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL), while also registering more than 100 PIM three times in his professional career. The New York, N.Y. native was drafted by the New York Rangers in the first round (No. 12 overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
