Johnson Not Eligible for AHL Playoffs

When the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins turn in their playoff roster next Monday, two of the team's top goal scorers will not be on it.
AHL and NHL rules will prevent injured wingers Nick Johnson and Eric Tangradi from competing in the Calder Cup playoffs.
"It's a tough one to swallow because they've been a big part of the team down there, but it's black and white. It's cut and dried," Pittsburgh assistant general manager Jason Botterill said. "There's no way to get around it."
