Boldt Transfers to Romania
Peter Boldt, a former Dartmouth standout, has joined Steaua Bucuresti (Romania) for the remainder of the season, team president, Cristian Cirlan confirmed January 28.
The 2009-10 captain of the Big Green, Boldt begin his professional career with Herne (Germany). In 25 contests, he scored 10 goals and assisted on 18 tallies.
A finalist for the prestigious 2009 Lowe's Senior CLASS Award, Boldt played four seasons on defense for the Big Green. He suffered an injury early during his freshman campaign, which limited him to 17 contests in 2006-07, but recovered to compete in 90 games during his final three seasons. Overall, Boldt competed in 107 games with the Big Green, scoring four times and assisting on 28 tallies.
In 2009-10, Boldt was presented with the Dartmouth’s McInnis Award, which is given to the player who best represents the spirit, camaraderie, loyalty and dedication of the team. The senior defenseman finished the year with nine points, playing in 30 games.
