Przepiorka Returns to Sweden
Eric Przepiorka, a former Dartmouth standout, will don the sweater of Asplöven HC, which competes in Sweden’s Division I, in 2010-11, the team announced. The signing marks Przepiorka's return to Sweden’s Division I League.
A native of Grosse Pointe, Michigan, Przepiorka spent the 2009-10 season with Rungsted (Denmark). The 29-year-old Przepiorka collected 27 points, including nine goals, in 32 games while competing in Denmark’s top division with the Cobras.
“(Eric) is a class player. A hard-working forward with a good shot. A typical transatlantic player that is prepared to tear down walls if necessary," said Asplöven HC trainer Per Kent.
In 2008-09, Przepiorka played for Olofströms IK of Sweden,
racking up 30 goals and adding 28 assists in 37 contests. He also
played 12 games with Oklahoma City of the Central Hockey League
(CHL).
Przepiorka earned four varsity letters at Dartmouth, representing the Big Green in 2002-06. In 132 collegiate games, he amassed 39 goals and set up 63 tallies. Przepiorka’s most productive offensive campaign was his senior season as he scored nine times and assisted on 23 goals in 33 contests.
After graduating from Dartmouth, Przepiorka spent the 2005-06 in
the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) with Utah and Johnstown, before
joining Youngstown of the CHL in 2006-07.
