Boucher Garners Weekly Honor
ROCHESTER, MI--- The International Hockey League (IHL) announced Monday that Fort Wayne goaltender Nick Boucher, a former Dartmouth standout, has been named the IHL Goaltender of the Week for the period ending Sunday, March 21.
Boucher completed the week with a 2-0-0-0 record, playing 120 minutes and stopping 74 of 77 shots. He posted a.961 save percentage and a 1.50 goals-against average, only allowing three goals against. He stopped all 44 shots he faced from the Gems Sunday in Dayton to earn his second shutout of the season, extending his road winning streak to six straight. Boucher has won five of his last six games, giving up just one goal or less in three of those five wins. He celebrated his 100th Fort Wayne career game Wednesday with a 4-3 win over Port Huron. The 29-year-old Cobble Hill, British Columbia native is currently tied with teammate Tim Haun for the league's best save percentage (.922) and is second in goals against average with a 2.44.
