Boucher Adds Surfing to Skills

The report Nick Boucher could write about his summer
vacation would get an A from any teacher.
Days after helping the Komets win their third straight Turner Cup,
Boucher left last May for a summer in Australia, playing for the
Sydney Bears in the Australian Ice Hockey League.
“It definitely was an experience of a lifetime,”
Boucher said. “I think circumstances were just right for me
to go down at that point. I think most people who like traveling
would love to go to Australia. I've thought about going in the past
to play, but again circumstances just weren't right. It's extremely
expensive just to get down there, so just going for a couple of
weeks is kind of cost-prohibitive in a lot of ways. I'll definitely
remember it for a long time.”
