Galiardi Ready to Return

AURORA — Judging from his ability to shake hands Thursday at The Children's Hospital, Avalanche winger TJ Galiardi is close to returning to the lineup after wrist surgery.
Galiardi, who has missed 17 games since breaking his right wrist Nov. 9 against Calgary, confirmed his impending return while visiting with children during the team's annual visit to the hospital.
He said his right hand is excellent for greeting and almost as good with stick-handling and shooting.
