Canadiens Ink Wyman
MONTREAL -- Montreal Canadiens general manager Pierre Gauthier
announced Tuesday the signing of forward James T. Wyman to a
one-year, two-way contract for the 2010-11 season. As per club
policy, financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Wyman, 24, was held scoreless in three games with the Canadiens
this season, including his first career NHL game on November 24
against the Columbus Blue Jackets at the Bell Centre.
The 6-foot-2, 199-pound right winger also recorded 37 points (17
goals, 20 assists) in 76 games with the Hamilton Bulldogs in
2009-10, including three power play goals and two
game-winners. Wyman maintained a plus-9 differential,
adding 163 shots on goal and 12 penalty minutes.
A native of Edina, Minnesota, Wyman was selected in the fourth
round, 100th overall by the Canadiens at the 2004 NHL
Entry Draft.
