Jessiman Joins Cup Champions

Hugh Jessiman has joined the Chicago Blackhawks organization.

Jessiman, 26 and from Darien, is coming off injury this summer, but also off of consecutive 20-goal seasons for the AHL Milwaukee Admirals.

Scoring 44 points in 78 games in 2009-10 before being felled with a shoulder injury at the end of the regular slate — following up a 20 goal first season with the Admirals in 63 games after an early season trade from the Hartford Wolf Pack (Rangers) — Jessiman joins his third NHL organization this summer.

His contract up with the Nashville Predators organization, Jessiman inked a new deal with the Stanley Cup champion Black Hawks reportedly last week.

Chicago’s AHL affiliate is Rockford.

Jessiman enters his sixth pro season after going as the Rangers’ top pick, 12th overall in the NHL Entry Draft of 2003.

He’s scored 72 goals and has 143 points in his AHL career.

Jessiman is reported to have signed a one year two-way deal.
