Team Notes: Dartmouth Looks to Take Two

HANOVER, N.H. -- The Dartmouth men's hockey team is home this
weekend with ECAC Hockey contests on tap against Rensselaer on
Friday and Union on Saturday. The Big Green is looking to get its
first win since Jan. 10.
SCOUTING RENSSELAER
Rensselaer makes its way to Hanover having defeated Princeton and
Colgate in recent games. RPI is currently 5-16-2 on the season,
4-6-1 in the ECAC. The Engineers have earned victories over Robert
Morris and Harvard earlier in the season while wins over Brown,
Princeton and Colgate have been later. Ties against Union and
Quinnipiac have made Rensselaer eighth in the league. Earlier this
season Dartmouth earned a 5-2 victory over RPI as Scott Fleming,
Joe Stejskal and Evan Stephens earned scored goals for the Big
Green.Chase Polacek leads his squad in scoring with 20 points while
Patrick Cullen is second with 15 points and Tyler Helfrich has 12.
Polacek is the team leader with 15 assists while Cullen has seven
goals. In net Mathias Lange has played the most time as the senior
has seen time in 17 games and has a 4-11-2 record. Lange is
sporting a 2.98 GAA and a .908 save percentage. Allen York has
played in seven games for the Engineers, earning a 1-5 record. He
currently has a 4.00 GAA and an .879 save percentage.
VERSUS RENSSELAER
Dartmouth and RPI began meeting in 1908 when the two tied, 4-4.
The Engineers took the early lead in the series, going up 33-16-3
in 2002. The Big Green has come on in recent years, winning 12
times in the last 16 years. RPI still leads in the overall series
35-28-5.
