Walsh Picked by Canadiens in 2009 NHL Entry Draft
HANOVER, N.H. - Dustin Walsh, an incoming forward at Dartmouth,
was taken by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
The 6-foot-2 centerman spent the past season tearing up the OJHL,
posting a team-high 63 points in 44 games for the Kingston
Voyageurs, including 32 goals. Walsh was chosen as the 169th pick
in the sixth round.
Walsh will be one of three NHL picks on next season's men's hockey
team. Walsh and fellow incoming freshamn forward, Mark Goggin (Glen
Ellyn, Ill.), a Boston Bruins pick, and junior defenseman Joe
Stejskal (Grand Rapids, Minn.) a Canadiens' selection.
Walsh and Goggin will also be joining big brothers, Nick and
Connor, both sophmores on the squad.
