During the recently completed 2008-09 season, the
Dartmouth men's ice hockey team had one captain and no assistant
captains. As a result, when the team held its season-ending
banquet, junior Peter Boldt was not sure what to expect when the
captain and/or captains for the 2009-10 season were named.
Once Dartmouth coach Bob Gaudet made his announcement, it
immediately put a smile on Boldt's face. The Greenwich resident and
Taft graduate was selected captain by the coaching staff and his
teammates for next season. Boldt, a steady defenseman, has the most
seniority of any returning player, having played in 77 games. He
had two goals and seven assists last season and three goals and 20
assists in his three seasons.
"I was very excited knowing that my teammates and the coaching
staff have confidence in me," Boldt said.
