WILKES-BARRE TWP. - Defenseman Ben Lovejoy isn't just jumping back
into the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins lineup this weekend. He's
also jumping back into the competition for an NHL roster spot.
Lovejoy is back to full participation in practice after suffering
a grade two shoulder separation when he was hit awkwardly during an
NHL exhibition game at Toronto on Sept. 22. He is on schedule to
play when the Penguins host Hershey on Friday and visit Bridgeport
on Saturday.
Meanwhile, word out of Pittsburgh on Wednesday was that defenseman
Sergei Gonchar will miss four to six weeks with a broken wrist
suffered in a game against St. Louis the night before.
