Glass Signs with Vancouver

Vancouver Canucks General Manager Mike Gillis announced today that the Canucks have signed former Dartmouth forward Tanner Glass. In keeping with club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Glass, 25, spent the 2008-09 season with the Rochester Americans of the AHL and Florida Panthers. The Regina, Saskatchewan native recorded 13 points (4-9-13) and 100 penalty minutes in 44 games with Rochester and seven penalty minutes in three games played with Florida.

Over the past two seasons, the Regina, SK native has played in 91 career games in the AHL with the Americans where he has 25 points (10-15-25) and 189 penalty minutes. In 44 career NHL games with Panthers, Glass has two points (1-1-2) and 46 penalty minutes.

Glass was originally drafted by Florida in the ninth round, 265th overall, in the 2003 Entry Draft.
