Team Notes: Dartmouth Ready to Conclude Non-League Slate

HANOVER, N.H. -- The #18 Dartmouth men's hockey team takes to the road for a 7:00 pm matchup with Atlantic Hockey foe, Holy Cross. The game will be the Big Green's last non-conference game of 2008-09. The contest will help Dartmouth prepare for next week when it faces three ECAC Hockey opponents in a row, starting with rival Harvard in a nationally televised game (ESPNU) on Sunday, Jan. 25 at 4:00 pm.

SCOUTING HOLY CROSS
Holy Cross comes into this midweek game on a six-game unbeaten streak as the Crusaders have earned wins over AIC along with ties over Army and Denver. In Atlantic Hockey action, Holy Cross is currently 7-4 and is coming off back-to-back tied with league foe Army. On the first night the Crusaders tied the Black Knights, 4-4 before another tie of 3-3 the next night. Holy Cross has seven players scoring in double-figures as sophomore Jordan Cyr leads all players with 17 points. Juniors Rob Forshner and Brodie Sheahan both have scored 16 points while sophomore Everett Sheen has 15. Cyr is the team leader in goals with 10 while Sheahan leads with 10 assists. In net two goalies have seen time but the majority of games played has come under sophomore Adam Roy's watch. Roy has a 5-10-3 record along with an .885 save percentage and a 3.29 GAA.

VERSUS HOLY CROSS
Dartmouth and Holy Cross have met just five times with the Big Green winning three of the meetings. The teams played the frst time in 1986 as the Crusaders walked away with a 5-2 victory in Hanover. Dartmouth came back to win the next two, 9-1 and 2-1 before Holy Cross broke the streak with a 3-2 victory. The last meeting was on Jan. 16, 2007 with a 4-0 Big Green win.
