Colorado Recalls Galiardi
The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced today that the team
has recalled forward T.J. Galiardi, who played at Dartmouth, from
the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League. He will be
available for tonight’s game against the Edmonton Oilers at
Pepsi Center.
Galiardi, 20, ranks third on the Monsters in scoring this season
with 27 points (10g/17a) in 66 games. The Calgary native leads the
club in games played and is tied for third in assists and fourth in
goals. He has tallied eight points (3g/5a) in seven contests during
the month of March.
Galiardi, one of Colorado’s three second-round picks in the
2007 Entry Draft (55th overall), made his pro debut with the
Monsters this season after spending the 2007-08 campaign with the
Calgary Hitmen of the Western Hockey League. He finished second
among WHL rookies with 70 points (18g/52a) in 72 regular season
games last year, and went on to lead the WHL in playoff scoring
with 24 points (5g/19a) in 16 postseason games.
