INCH A to Z: Scott Fleming
The following article featuring Dartmouth forward Scott Fleming appeared August 12 on the InsideCollegeHockey.com Web site as part College Hockey A to Z.
You can't learn how to spell before you've mastered your A-B-Cs. Turns out that's the best way to preview the college hockey season as well. For the sixth year in a row we present Inside College Hockey A to Z, an alphabetical look at a player you need to know from all 58 colleges in Division I.
Dartmouth's Scott Fleming and Northern Michigan's Justin Florek are the next two players profiled in Inside College Hockey A to Z. As back-to-school time nears, we're reminded that the letter F signifies poor performance in the classroom. It's the opposite case with these two Fs, who have helped contribute to their teams' success and have even higher expectations for the coming year.

Key Statistics: Fleming was Dartmouth's leading goal-scorer last year (13) as a sophomore and finished third overall in scoring with 25 points. Four of his goals came on the power play and three were game-winning goals.
What He Does: The 5-foot-11 centerman is the best skater on Dartmouth's team and one of the best in recent memory. His skating was compared to that of J.T. Wyman and his competitiveness to David Jones. That's not bad company and Fleming has the tools to continue his career as a professional once his college career is over. He is dangerous in all situations and can create his own offense in the offensive zone and in open ice.
