Team Notes: Granite State Showdown on Tap for Dartmouth

The following article appeared December 10 on the Dartmouth Web site.

HANOVER, N.H. - After two weeks away from competition, the Dartmouth women's hockey team is set to host fourth-ranked New Hampshire on Saturday night at Thompson Arena in a matchup of the only Division I programs in the Granite State.

JUMPING OUT EARLY AND HANGING ON

The opening frame has been friendly to the Big Green as Dartmouth has been able to get out in front of its opponents early in games. The Big Green is 4-0-1 when scoring first and have the same record when leading after the opening frame. However, when going down early, Dartmouth hasn’t shown it can come back as they are 1-4-0 when not scoring first.

SCORING AT WILL
Dartmouth has tallied 32 goals in 10 games so far this season, which ranks at the top of the list in ECAC Hockey. The 3.2 goals per game is well above Princeton at 2.79 goals.
