Boucher Earns IHL Accolades
ROCHESTER, MI -- The International Hockey League (IHL) announced
Monday that Fort Wayne goaltender Nick Boucher has been named the
IHL Goaltender of the Week for the period ending Sunday, November
1.
Boucher was solid between the pipes for the Komets, earning the
win in his only game played over the weekend. He made 26 saves and
only allowed one goal against in the battle with Muskegon Saturday
night, completing the week with a .963 save percentage and a 1.00
goals against average. The 28-year-old Cobble Hill, British
Columbia native has started four of the Komets six games so far
this season. Boucher is currently ranked third in goals against
average (2.49) and save percentage (.927) among IHL
goaltenders.
Other goaltenders nominated for the IHL Goaltender of the Week
include: Bloomington’s Paulo Colaiacovo, Dayton’s Derek
MacIntyre, Flint’s Jean-Francois Labbe, Muskegon’s Matt
Lundin, Port Huron’s Larry Sterling and Quad City’s
Kyle Jones.
