IHL Tabs Boucher with Monthly Honor
FORT WAYNE, IN — The International Hockey League (IHL)
announced Wednesday that Fort Wayne Komets goaltender Nick Boucher,
a former Dartmouth standout, has been named the Southern Sports
Supply IHL Goaltender of the Month for March. The announcement
comes on the heels of Boucher's third straight Goaltender of the
Week award.
Boucher, 28, appeared in 13 of 15 Komet games during March posting
an 11-1-0-1 record while allowing 18 goals for a 1.44 goals-against
average and stopping 378 of 396 shots for a .955 save percentage.
Boucher also recorded two shutouts during the month.
The netminder completed March with an 11-game unbeaten streak
(10-0-0-1) and six-game winning streak. Boucher currently leads IHL
goalies with a 2.40 goals-against average and .921 save percentage
in 49 appearances for the season.
The award is Boucher's fourth career IHL monthly award after
receiving the honor three times during 2007-08.
