Pritchard Blog: The View From the Back of the Bus

In past years, the team would have been satisfied going one and one on the Colgate / Cornell road trip but this year, given the recent run we put together, we had hoped to return to Hanover with four points in hand. Unfortunately, we ultimately dictated the outcome of both the win and the loss this weekend.

The Friday night match against Colgate was a grind of a game, full of turnovers and missed opportunities for both teams. Adam Estoclet scored the game-winning goal in the one-nothing win on a nice cross-crease feed from Andrew Owsiak that I would definitely have tried to bang home on my own. This is why these kids have led our offense thus far and I have not.

I had a coach tell me once, "Pritch, your hands weren't made to dangle, they were made to bury rebounds and hit people in the face." Brutal as the line may have sounded, I learned to tape my wrists and bury my chances when they came and I think I've done well so far.
