Team Notes: Dartmouth Set to Host Ledyard National Bank Classic

HANOVER, N.H. -- The Dartmouth men's hockey team will welcome Army, Bemidji State and UMass to Hanover on Sunday, Dec. 28 and Monday, Dec. 29 as the Big Green will play host to the Ledyard National Bank Classic. In the first game UMass and Bemidji will meet at 4:00 pm while Army and Dartmouth will meet in the nightcap at 7:00 pm. The consolation and championship games will be at 4 & 7 the next day. The Big Green will be back to playing since a 27-day layoff. Dartmouth's last NCAA game was on Nov. 30 against Boston College but the Big Green has not been resting on its laurels however as Dartmouth just returned from a 10-day trip to Scandinavia.

SCOUTING ARMY
The Army Black Knights come to Thompson Arena with a 3-9-1 overall record, 3-7-1 in Atlantic Hockey. Army is currently on a five-game skid as the Black Knights three victories have come against conference foes. Army has defeated Sacred Heart, American International and RIT while also tying Sacred Heart. Currently junior Cody Omilusik and sophomore Owen Meyer lead the team in scoring with 12 points apiece. Meyer leads his team with eight goals scored while Omilusik and Eric Sefchik lead the squad with seven assists apiece. Three different netminders have seen time between the pipes for the Knights. Senior Josh Kassel has played the most games and has a 2-6-0 record. Sophomore Jay Clark has played in six games and is 1-3-1 while junior Joey Spracklen has played in one contest. Kassel currently has a 4.12 GAA and an .862 save percentage while Clark has a 3.33 GAA and a .901 save percentage.

VERSUS ARMY
Dartmouth and Army have been meeting since a 7-3 Big Green win on Feb. 3, 1914. The victory began a string of 27-straight wins as Dartmouth holds a 44-10-5 advantage in the series. The last Black Knights win was a 4-3 overtime, affair on Feb. 2, 1991 in Thompson Arena.
