Boucher Earns IHL Honor
ROCHESTER, MI -- The International Hockey League (IHL) announced
Monday that Fort Wayne goaltender Nick Boucher, who played at
Dartmouth, has been named the Southern Sports Supply IHL Goaltender
of the Week for the period ending Sunday, December 14th, 2008.
Boucher continues to be a force between the pipes for the Komets,
posting a 2-0-0-0 record this past week. He had a .952 save
percentage and a 1.50 goals against average, turning aside 60 of
the 63 shots he faced in two games played. The 27-year-old Cobble
Hill, British Columbia native won both contests this week on the
road, where he has improved to 4-2-0-0 away from Memorial Coliseum.
Boucher is currently ranked second among IHL goaltenders in goals
against average (2.96) and is third in save percentage (.897).
