Team Notes: Dartmouth Takes Win Streak to the Road

HANOVER, N.H. -- The Dartmouth men's hockey team takes its
four-game win streak to the road as the Big Green travels to
Colgate and Cornell. Dartmouth takes on Colgate, Friday at 7:00 pm
and then Cornell, Saturday at 7:00 pm. The Big Green currently sits
atop the ECAC standings with a 4-2 overall record and 4-1 in the
league. These two ECAC Hockey games will be the last Dartmouth
plays in 2008 as the Big Green will take on nonleague opponents in
December.
SCOUTING COLGATE
Colgate is currently on a three-game non winning streak as the
Raiders recently tied Cornell after dropping a game to the Big Red
and the Princeton Tigers. Colgate started the season off winning
four of its last five games with victories over UMass Lowell,
Bentley, Robert Morris and Quinnipiac. Brian Day leads his team
with seven goals and eight points while David McIntyre has added
seven points. Francois Brisebois and Austin Smith have both notched
six points. In net the Raiders have had two trying to replace Mark
Dekanich. Charles Long has played in seven games and has a 3-3-1
record while Alex Evin has earned one victory in two games. Long
has a 2.00 GAA and a .917 save percentage while Evin has a 0.91 GAA
and a .928 save percentage.
VERSUS COLGATE
Colgate and Dartmouth have one of the most evenly matched series
the Big Green has played. The two teams began playing in 1929 as
Dartmouth opened up with an 8-1 victory in New York. The Big Green
began the series with 11 straight wins and currently leads in the
series, 39-37-4. Since Bob Gaudet began coaching at Dartmouth his
teams have gone 15-11-3. Last season the two tied, 3-3 in Hanover
before Dartmouth took a 5-2 win in Hamilton.
