Avs' Jones Looking for Lost Magic

David Jones was one of the Avalanche's top performers in the
preseason, but so far he hasn't been able to transform that success
into regular-season play.
"But I've been working hard, and I think my biggest asset is my
speed and I just need to keep skating," said Jones, one of a
handful of players to take part in an optional practice Friday.
"The coaches don't necessarily look for me to put the puck in the
net all the time, but I definitely have to bury my chances when
they're there. I think they like the way I skate and finish my
checks and get into the forecheck. I think that's the biggest part
of my game, rather than scoring goals."
