After two disappointing pro seasons, Hugh Jessiman tried boxing lessons in New York and mental training in Switzerland with longtime NHL defenseman Darius Kasparaitis this summer.

The right wing from Darien showed signs of a transformation with more physical play and three assists in the Wolf Pack's first four games, then became largely invisible while going pointless the next seven.

Jessiman and other Pack players met with general manager Jim Schoenfeld and coaches Ken Gernander, J.J. Daigneault and Pat Boller for their periodic chats Thursday. Then Jessiman, 23, viewed a video Gernander gave him and said his enthusiasm was renewed after his coach's talk before Friday's game in Manchester, N.H.
