Nick Boucher knew when he arrived that the Fort Wayne Komets had already established Kevin Reiter as their No. 1 goaltender. But Boucher isn't one to just accept things and assume he'll only play in a few token games.

"You know what you're getting into when you come here, when they have a guy who's established," said Boucher, who was signed by the Komets Oct. 30. "But it's not like I'm a rookie. I'm going to come in here and compete. You look at the schedule, there are a lot of three (games) in three nights. It's tough for one guy to do all that, it realty is, and I think their philosophy is to have two goalies - A1 and A2."

Boucher has already shown he might be worthy of playing time. In his debut with the Komets on Saturday, he stopped 29 of 31 shots in a 5-2 victory over the Muskegon Fury at Memorial Coliseum.
