ITHACA -- With approximately two-thirds of the regular season in its rearview mirror, the Cornell men's hockey team is in a pretty enviable position -- two points clear of its nearest conference rival, ranked ninth nationally, and unbeaten in the calendar year.

Cornell (11-4-4 overall, 8-1-3 ECAC Hockey) will try to enhance its position this weekend when it takes on conference travel partner Colgate (12-9-3, 6-5-1) in their annual home-and-home series starting Friday night at Lynah Rink.

The game will face off at 7:36 p.m. instead of the usual 7 due to the game's being broadcast on the CBS Sports Network (Time Warner channel 242). Colgate will host Cornell at 7 p.m. Saturday.
